Come Taste
our Wines:

Our next regularly scheduled event will be the Oregon Thanksgiving Wine Weekend. We will be open on Friday and Saturday only, from 10:30 until 4:00. We will be tasting our 2008 Starry Night White Pinot Gris, our 2007 Garden Shed Red pinot Noir, and tasting, for futures only, our 2008 Garden Shed Red Pinot Noir which we plan to release in May of 2010. We will have at least one other wine for tasting, probably a Methven Reisling. A tasting fee of $5.00 will be charged except to Designated Drivers who are free. For those who want a logo glass with the tasting we will charge $8, with a Pinot Gris Glass and $10 for those who want a logo Pinot Noir Glass. We will have great appetizers and a crackling fire in the outdoor room.
Depending on the weather, we will taste wine in the Tasting Room and then enjoy our outdoor room with a blazing fire. We had wonderful fresh local cheese from Willamette Valley Cheese Company and great local goat cheese with Red Fox bread. We also tasted Red Ridge Farms Arbequina. Olive Oil, Twilla’s English Toffee, and Jack Czarnecki’s Joel Palmer House White Oregon Truffle Oil. Everything was so good and so well received over Memorial Day weekend, we will likely do the same at Thanksgiving Weekend.

Calamity Hill Vineyard currently plans to be open only 4 days each year, the Saturday and Sunday before Memorial Day and the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. We can also give private tastings and tours that meet your schedule and ours. Please be aware that we also have day jobs and prefer that people not drop in at the vineyard.
For appointments for private tastings, email Tom at tom@calamityhill.com
