Hillview Drive
is now paved from Walnut Hill Road to just past our home. If
you have come before and are looking for the gravel road to
Calamity Hill, it is gone – Yea!
Directions:
From Portland, take Highway 99w through
Dundee and take a left turn on Highway 18 toward McMinnville
and the Oregon Beaches.
After about 3 miles on Highway
18, at the blinking yellow light, take the Lafayette Highway
south for five miles to a right turn on Walnut Hill Road.
Exactly 1.5 miles up Walnut Hill Road, turn right on
Hillview Drive. We are about 350 yards down the hill on the
left.

From Salem, take Wallace Road
(highway 221) north from West Salem approximately 12 miles
(from the Marion Street Bridge) to a left turn on the
Lafayette Highway toward Hopewell. Continue on the Lafayette
Highway for about 3.5 miles, driving ¼ mile past the turnoff to Amity
where you turn left on Walnut Hill Road. Exactly 1.5 miles
up Walnut Hill Road, turn right on Hillview Drive. We are
about 350 yards down the hill on the left.
From McMinnville, take Highway 18 just past the
airport to a right turn on Cruikshank Road. Take Cruikshank
for approximately 1 mile turning right onto highway 233
toward Amity. Just under two miles down highway 233, you
continue straight onto Starr Quarry Road, while highway 233
turns right (dangerous corner). Drive on Starr Quarry until
the end of the pavement (about 2.5 miles) and turn left onto
Walnut Hill Road (paved). Exactly 1.5 miles up Walnut Hill
Road, turn left on Hillview Drive. We are about 350 yards
down the hill on the left.
From Amity,
take Nursery Road east to the end shere it Tees with the
Lafayette Highway. turn left on Lafayette Highway and then
left again in 1/4 mile at Walnut Hill Road. Exactly 1.5
miles up Walnut Hill Road, turn right on Hillview Drive.
We are about 350 yards down the hill on the left.
